The following are entries from a journal that Chanticleer founder, Adolph G. Rosengarten, Jr. kept from the years 1933-1985. He made daily notes about the property known as Minder House, now the site of the Ruin Garden. These journal entries include the accounts of plantings, building maintenance, and family events. We will share select entries on a regular basis to provide a glimpse into Chanticleer's history.

Parking reservations are required and are available two weeks in advance of your visit.

Early Saturdays in 2021


Chanticleer will open at 8:00am on June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4,
and October 2.
Regular admission fees apply and parking reservations are required.
